Give your empties a second life at Boots
Help reduce waste by recycling your eligible empty blister packs and health, beauty, and wellness products that can’t be recycled at home! Simply upload images of your eligible items via the app for verification, drop them off at participating Boots stores, and earn Advantage Card points when you shop. It’s our way of rewarding you for making a difference.

Health, Beauty & Wellness
We accept products made of non-recyclable materials like toothpaste tubes, small cosmetics, such as travel sizes, minis, samples, and mascaras that can't be recycled kerbside. Only eligible products listed are included, and we specifically exclude anything marked with the hazardous symbol or a licensed medicine.

Blister Pack
Our Blister Pack scheme takes care of all your empty medicine and vitamin blister packs for recycling. If your blister packs aren’t quite empty but you’re ready to recycle them, you can speak to Boots in-store pharmacy team about the safe disposal of medicines and vitamins.
Recycle and receive rewards
Simply log into the Recycle at Boots app and upload images of your empties for approval, wait 24 hours (Mon-Fri excluding public holidays) once approved, visit your local participating store and deposit 5 items in one go to receive your Advantage Card points voucher and spend the minimum threshold required to receive your points.

Why recycle with us?
Recycling the unrecyclable!
The Recycle at Boots scheme will take care of the empties that you can't recycle at home. Upload your items for verification then visit a participating store and recycle your eligible product empties!
Recycle at Home
You may be able to recycle some of your bathroom empties in your kerbside recycling at home. These include things like aerosols, glass jars and full-size shampoo bottles - always check your local area first. The Boots scheme will only accept items that can't be recycled at home.
Sustainability
The Recycle at Boots scheme showcases Boots’ commitment to the planet. It also encourages customers to dispose of waste that would traditionally end up in landfill. Recycling has become a vital part in protecting our environment.
Technology for our Planet
Recycle at Boots leverages Scan 2 Recycle™ technology which provides full traceability and reporting of items received, with every item accounted for from the moment of deposit to re-manufacture. Meaning no landfill, no incineration, no waste exported and no greenwashing.

What happens to my recycling?
All materials received are re-manufactured, creating durable and reusable plastic boards—useful in a wide variety of applications, from furniture and accessories to full shopfitting projects and exhibition displays.
Each part of our recycling process is tracked and traced from collection to re-manufacture. Our recycling partner, MY Group, processes all collected items.
